Investment Trust Fund
The Foundation's Investment Trust Fund (ITF) offers local
United Methodist congregations, Conference agencies and ministries, and
institutions a way of pooling their funds for investment, and in a manner
consistent with
Prudent Investor Standards and the United Methodist Social
Principles. Collectively, ITF participants are able to employ top level
institutional portfolio managers and achieve a level of investment
diversification that would be difficult to match individually.
Pooling investments in a common fund allows participants
the advantage of proven professional investment managers and advisors at fee
scales usually available only to larger investors. Because of the
aggregated size of the ITF, it can be maintained as a separately managed fund
for a fee at or below that of the average mutual fund.
Utilizing a 'manager of mangers' approach, the Foundation
employs SEI Investments Management Corporation to provide advisory and
custodial services to the Investment Trust Fund and to assist with the
administration of an equity and fixed income investment pool. A number
of institutional portfolio managers have day-to-day responsibility of
investing the pools in a manner appropriate to the market sector assigned to
each of them and consistent with the United Methodist Social Principles.
