Legacy Endowment
A Legacy Endowment at the United Methodist Foundation of Indiana, Inc. is a perpetual
gift that is held and invested by the Foundation.
The fund is invested to assure a continuing source of funds for the church or
ministry you designate. You may designate your gift for any purpose that
serves The United Methodist Church. As the name implies, a legacy endowment is often
established as a memorial to a loved one but you may instead choose to remain
anonymous. A single
endowment may benefit multiple ministries or a single ministry. A minimum gift of $10,000 is
required to establish a Legacy Endowment.
Your Church Endowment
Many Churches have established endowment funds to allow their members to make
lasting gifts to support their ministries and mission both now and in the
future. Some church endowment funds are very specific about the use of
the monies earned on the gifts they receive; others allow the church to make
the decision on the best use of the earnings. Either way, your gift will
be added with the gifts of others to provide a permanent source of income to
your church and its ministries.
