How ‘Will’ you leave?

    End-of-life planning, wills, and bequests

When you leave this life, life will still go on for those you love. Do those who mean the most to you know what your wishes are and how you want to be remembered? If you have young children, have you provided for their care? Whether you have young children, grown children, grandchildren or no children, everyone should have a will. Join us for an overview of how to leave lasting instructions to help ease the burden on those you love.

 Generation to Generation

Providing for the future through thoughtful estate planning

Stewardship is caring for all that God has provided.  This means wise management, productive use and conservation.  Stewardship also influences how one distributes his or her estate.  The Christian estate plan speaks volumes about values and concerns for loved ones.  It not only provides for loved ones, it also provides for the future of the organizations that embody our values-the ideals and objectives that we have striven for, and stood for, all our lives.

 Life Income Gifts

   Gifts that keep Giving Back

Did you know that it is possible to earn a competitive income now on funds that you ultimately want to give to support your favorite ministries?  Learn how Gift Annuities and Charitable Remainder Trusts provide a lifetime income, an immediate tax deduction and future gifts to the ministries you love and support.

What gifts do we bring?

    Gifts beyond the checkbook

When we think of making a gift to our church, we usually think of writing a check, but you may have other assets or property that could also be used to support the church.  Stocks, bonds, life insurance policies, collectibles and real estate are some of the more common alternatives to cash gifts and, depending on your circumstances, may carry some tax benefits to the giver.  But there are easy and difficult ways to make such gifts. Join us for a discussion of ways to make alternative gifts to the church.

   Strategies for Giving

   Gifts that may reduce taxes

While we have been instructed to “give to Caesar what is Caesar’s,” we also need to be wise about the ways we can minimize taxes while supporting Christ’s Church. Do you know which of your financial assets are mostly highly taxed when left in your estate? Do you know the limits for offsetting current income with charitable gifts?  Do you know where to find help in planning ways to reduce both your current income taxes and the estate taxes that may be assessed to your heirs?

Enduring Gifts

   Endowing ministries

Every generation builds off the efforts of the generations that came before.  Our church is no different. From faithful pastors who carried the Gospel to dedicated members who supported the ministries, our heritage is filled with the stories of people whose love for the church propelled it into the future.  With God’s help, we can build up the church and provide the support for its ministries to the generations to come.  Come learn more about how you can provide the foundation on which future ministries can be built.
